Community Guidelines

Last updated 25 October 2026

Praying Mothers is a community of mothers growing in faith, lifting families in prayer and honoring our heritage. These guidelines describe how we treat one another on this website. Rooted, our young adults offering, has its own guidelines, including rules for introductions.

Respect and kindness

Treat everyone with kindness and respect, in the spirit of Christian fellowship. We welcome different circumstances, backgrounds and ways of expressing the faith. Encourage; do not shame.

  • No harassment, bullying, threats, discrimination or hateful language.
  • No spam, advertising or scams.
  • Honor cultural differences, including those within the Yoruba community and beyond it.

Prayer requests

Prayer requests sent through this website are private. Only the designated prayer coordinators can read them. They are never posted publicly or shared with a wider group without asking you first.

Share only what you are comfortable sharing, and do not include another person's private details, such as health or family circumstances, without their consent. If someone is in danger or needs urgent help, please contact emergency services or a qualified professional. Online prayer is not a substitute.

Photographs and stories

We publish photographs and personal stories only with the permission of the people in them, with particular care for children. To ask for a photograph to be removed, contact the ministry and we will take it down.

Coordinators and moderation

Coordinators and administrators see only what their role needs. They keep what they read confidential as far as reasonably possible, and may remove content that breaks these guidelines. Concerns about conduct can be raised with the ministry leaders.
