A community rooted in Christ

Rooted is a free, Christ-centered community for young adults who want real friendship and a place to grow. Friendship and faith come first.

  • Prayer, Scripture and worship shape what we do. Come as you are.

Once you are approved, a members-only space lets you share and pray for one another.

  • Real friends who share your faith, without pressure to be anyone other than yourself.

Fellowship nights, Bible studies, service days and retreats.

    View upcoming events
  • Practical resources and encouragement for your faith, work and life.

Articles and guides for young adults, chosen by our team.

    Browse resources
  • If you choose, thoughtful introductions arranged by people, with both sides agreeing first.

Entirely optional, and never a condition of belonging.

Grow in your faith

How membership works

1. Apply

Create an account and tell us a little about you and your faith journey. Anyone who is interested is welcome to apply, from any church or none.

2. Meet us

Some applicants are invited to a short, friendly conversation with our coordinators.

3. Get approved

Once approved you can join events, use member resources and take part in the community.

Optional, personal introductions

Some members would like help meeting someone for a relationship. If you opt in, our coordinators, not an algorithm, may suggest an introduction, thoughtfully and privately. Nobody is introduced unless both people say yes first. You can pause or leave at any time without losing your place in the community. Once you are approved, you can choose whether to take part by completing a private questionnaire. You can pause or withdraw at any time.

“Come for the friendships and the faith. If a relationship grows out of that, wonderful.”

Safety and belonging

Safety first

Applications are reviewed by people, not algorithms. Members control what they share, and any concern can be raised with our coordinators.

Faith at the center

Prayer, Scripture and service shape what we do. Come as you are.

Friendship before romance

Community is the main thing. Joining never means you are 'looking'.

A ministry of the Praying Mothers

Rooted is run by the Praying Mothers, a community of Yoruba Christian mothers praying for families. Learn about their prayer, programs and devotionals.

Questions

Do I need to belong to a particular church?

No. Members come from many churches. Your church is optional on your profile.

Is this a dating app?

No. It is a community for friendship, growth and events. If you choose, you can also opt in to introductions that our coordinators arrange personally, and only with both people's consent.

Who can see my information?

Only our coordinators can see your application. Other members can't browse your profile, and your details are never public.

Why is there an application?

It keeps the community safe and welcoming. We want everyone to know that the people they meet have been thoughtfully welcomed.

Does approval mean you've background-checked me or vouched for me?

No. Approval means a coordinator reviewed your application and welcomed you. We don't run background checks, so please use good judgment when meeting anyone, and follow the Community Guidelines.
