Terms of Use

Last updated 25 October 2026

These terms cover your use of Rooted, a young adults Christian community initiative run by volunteer coordinators supported by the Praying Mothers ministry. By creating an account you agree to them, to the Community Guidelines and to the Privacy Policy.

Eligibility and accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • Give accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • Creating an account is not membership. Members-only areas need an approved application, and approval is separate from taking part in any introductions.
  • Keep your sign-in emails and links private, and tell us quickly if you think someone else has accessed your account.
  • We may restrict or end access as described below and as the law allows.

Community Guidelines

You agree to follow the Community Guidelines. They explain what is expected, how to raise a concern and what may happen if the guidelines are broken.

Introductions

Introductions are optional, need both people’s consent and can be withdrawn at any time. They are separate from membership: you take part only by completing the Intentional Connections questionnaire and choosing to activate it.

A coordinator may suggest an introduction only between two members who have each opted in and who fit what the other is looking for. Each person answers privately. Nothing about you is shared until you both agree, you need no reason to decline, and neither of you is told who said no. Completing the questionnaire is not a promise that an introduction will be made.

  • A suggested introduction is not a promise of compatibility, and we do not guarantee any relationship outcome.
  • Approval means a coordinator reviewed your application and welcomed you. It is not a background check, identity verification or personal endorsement of anyone.
  • You make your own decisions about whom to meet and how. Please read the in-person safety advice in the Community Guidelines.
  • Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the law that cannot be waived.

Prayer wall and what you post

You are responsible for what you post. Please follow the Community Guidelines, and don’t share anyone else’s private information without their permission. You choose who can see each post, and you can edit, close or delete your own posts at any time. We may hide content that breaks the guidelines. Posts are deleted 12 months after they are written.

You can report content or block a member from anywhere members interact. Blocking is private. Reports go to coordinators, who may remove content or restrict or end an account to protect the community.

The Praying Mothers website

Anyone may read the public Praying Mothers website and send a prayer request without an account. Rooted membership is separate: it needs an approved application, and approval for Rooted does not grant access to anything else.

Program schedules and event details on the website may change, and listed times are confirmed by the ministry leaders. Photographs and stories of identifiable people are published only with their permission. Online prayer and encouragement are not a substitute for professional or emergency help.

The ministry website and members' area have their own Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. The Praying Mothers Community Guidelines cover the ministry's website; the Rooted Community Guidelines cover Rooted, including introductions.

Events and third-party links

Event details, including time, place, capacity and accessibility information, can change. If we cancel an event, people who are going are notified in the app. An event may have its own rules, which are shown on its page.

Links to other websites and services are provided for convenience. Those sites have their own terms and privacy policies, which we don’t control.

Resources and general guidance

Articles and resources are shared as general encouragement and education. They are not professional mental-health, medical, legal or financial advice. Please seek qualified help where you need it.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you give us, such as your profile text, photo and feedback. You give us only the limited permission needed to store it, show it to the people it is meant for and moderate it as part of running Rooted. We don’t claim ownership of your photographs, prayers or personal stories.

Please don’t upload content you don’t have the right to use. We may remove content that breaks the guidelines or that someone has the right to object to. If you believe something infringes your rights, use the Feedback page (you can create a free account to reach it). It goes straight to the coordinators.

Suspension, ending your membership and deletion

You can stop using Rooted at any time and can ask for your account to be deleted from your profile page (see the Privacy Policy for how this works and what we may keep).

We may restrict, suspend or end access if the Community Guidelines or these terms are broken, if we need to protect someone’s safety, or if the law requires it. Ending an account is not the same as deleting retained safety or legal records, which are kept only as long as the Privacy Policy allows.

Changes to these documents

We will give members notice of material changes to these terms or the Privacy Policy, for example by email or an in-app notice, before they take effect. Continuing to use Rooted after that means you accept the update. The date at the top shows the latest revision.

Questions

For any question about these terms, use the Feedback page (you can create a free account to reach it). It goes straight to the coordinators.
